This Still Hurts
When I got back from my Portland road trip. I was excited to review the images of all the places my son and I had visited. What I saw in those images was devastating.
The good news was that the images were fine for the brief campus trips we took to Stanford, UC Berkeley, and UC Davis. They were also good for South San Francisco and San Francisco proper including the Golden Gate Bridge.
The bad news was that after that, I somehow inadvertantly changed the user profile on my Ricoh GRIII. The end result: every image I took north of San Francisco was out of focus. I didn’t notice due to my bad eyes and the small size of the viewscreen on the Ricoh.
The Portland pics didn’t bum me out that much, but the loss of the Crescent City pics is hard to mentally process as I might never revisit.
Lesson learned: always #checkyourshit before shooting images. Don’t be like me.
